Fridgini is built on a simple principle: your food is your business. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how it's used. We keep it short because we keep it simple.
01 — What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password, or your Google profile name and email if you sign in with Google.
When you scan your fridge, the photo is sent directly to Anthropic's Claude API for ingredient analysis. We do not store your images. The image is transmitted securely, analyzed, and the ingredients returned to your device. Anthropic's use of this data is governed by their Privacy Policy.
We store your scan count and subscription status locally on your device and in your account record to manage your free tier and subscription access.
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status — we never see your payment details.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Fridgini uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
04 — Data retention
Your account data is retained until you delete your account. Fridge images are not retained after analysis. Scan count data is stored locally on your device.
When you delete your account, all account-linked data is permanently removed within 30 days.
05 — Your rights
You can access, export, or delete your account at any time from within the app. For account deletion instructions, visit our account deletion page. For any other requests, contact us below.
06 — Children's privacy
Fridgini is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly.
07 — Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and notify you in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
